It’s really that simple to describe the neutering with Neuticles patented procedure.

It is important that the Neuticles be the same size as the pets testicles or preferably and tad smaller with tunic placement. Normal tunic
implant time is two to three minutes per testicle and five to ten seconds for scrotal placement.

Neuticles are fully autoclavable and is the recommended sterilization technique. Gas sterilization in rare instances can cause tissue irritation and is not recommended. Neuticles should be steam autoclaved at up to 250 (df) for up to 20 minutes. 

It is recommended that a drop of penicillin, a broad spectrum antibiotic be placed on each Neuticle prior to implantation. This step adds a secondary sterilization but serves primarily as a lubricant for ease of placement. 

Pre-examination is suggested to assure correct implant sizing. If too large, the placement of Neuticles will either not fit in the tunic and
if forced into the tunic may lead to short term fluid buildup created by trauma. In remote cases (1 in 100) where larger than natural-sized Neuticles were placed, the pet developed short term post-operative swelling. In most cases the issue resolves itself and the fluid absorbs back into the body. It is recommended that Neuticles be slightly smaller than the pets natural testicles.

Sizing can  be determined simply by providing us the pet’s age, weight and breed of the pet. Upon implant arrival, compare the Neuticles to the
pet’s natural testes. 

Post operative anti-inflammatory medication is recommended. For active pet’s place pet on anti-inflammatory meds several days prior to
procedure. 

Some post operative scrotal swelling is expected. DO NOT assume the pet is “rejecting” the implant”. The swelling is caused either by post operative trauma to the surgical area and would occur whether the Neuticles were there or not. Follow the same post operative protocol as when altering in the traditional way.

Unless otherwise instructed -once you place an order- your facility will be included in our Worldwide referral database. We will refer pet owners to your clinic or hospital. Please advise your receptionist(s)  that you provide the Neuticles option as the receptionist will tell our referrals otherwise. Your facility will lose what normally ends with a life long client and we refer the pet parent to another certified facility,. We will notify the veterinarian by mail should this occur.
